| The film Enthusiasm is otherwise known by its name Symphony of the Donbass. It was the first sound film to have been made out of Sovkino’s UKRAINFILM studios. Additionally, it was one of the first sound films ever made from Russia. Vertov was always trying to plan ahead and he had been eager to work with sound. Although Warner Bros. had already come out with a sound film The Jazz Singer in 1929, Enthusiasm was still a breakthrough for Russia. |
